PATIENTS AND VISITORS

Masking

The safety of our patients, visitors and team members is our top priority. Depending on community transmission of viral illness, we may update or change masking policies at Meritus Health facilities. Our current guidelines are as follows:

IF YOU ARE A PATIENT OF MERITUS HEALTH:

  • You must wear a mask, if able to tolerate, if you have tested positive for COVID-19 unless:
    • It has been 10 or more days past the date of the positive results AND
      • Your primary diagnosis/reason for admission is COVID-19
      • You do not have pneumonia
      • Fever free for 24 hours without fever reducing medications
      • Improvement in COVID symptoms or asymptomatic
  • PUI (patient who could be positive for COVID-19) patients must wear a mask, if able to tolerate, until they are ruled out with a negative test result.

IF YOU ARE A VISITOR OF MERITUS HEALTH:

  • You must wear a mask when visiting a Meritus Health location if you are experiencing symptoms of viral illness consistent with flu, COVID-19, or have tested positive for COVID-19 or are PUI status.
  • Visitors may mask at any time if they want to.
