Services

Inpatient Imaging Services

Inpatient Imaging Services

Inpatient imaging at Meritus Health plays a critical role in supporting timely diagnosis and treatment for hospitalized patients. Available around the clock, these services ensure that physicians have immediate access to the information they need to make informed decisions—especially in urgent or complex cases. By integrating advanced imaging directly into the hospital setting, Meritus helps streamline care, reduce delays, and improve outcomes for patients who require close monitoring and rapid evaluation.

Meritus offers a comprehensive range of inpatient imaging services, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and specialized studies tailored to cardiac, neurological, and trauma-related conditions. Many exams can be performed at the bedside using portable equipment, which is especially beneficial for patients in intensive care or those unable to be safely transported. This flexibility allows care teams to quickly assess changes in a patient’s condition and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Every imaging study is performed by experienced technologists and interpreted by board-certified radiologists who work closely with physicians across multiple specialties. This collaborative approach ensures accurate, timely results that are seamlessly integrated into each patient’s care plan. With a focus on safety, efficiency, and clinical excellence, inpatient imaging at Meritus Health helps deliver high-quality, coordinated care when patients need it most.

Interventional Radiology

Interventional Radiology

Interventional Radiology at Meritus Health offers patients advanced, minimally invasive treatment options that use image-guided technology to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions—often without the need for traditional surgery. Using tools such as CT scans, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy, specially trained physicians can precisely target problem areas through tiny incisions, helping reduce pain, lower the risk of complications, and shorten recovery times compared to open procedures.

These services are used to treat a variety of conditions, including vascular disease, certain cancers, organ disorders, and chronic pain. Common procedures may include image-guided biopsies, drain placements, vascular access, embolization to block abnormal blood flow, and targeted treatments that deliver medication directly to the source of disease. Because these procedures are highly precise, they can often be performed on an outpatient basis or with minimal downtime.

At Meritus, interventional radiology is closely integrated with the health system’s broader imaging and cardiovascular services, allowing for a highly coordinated, team-based approach to care. Patients benefit from access to state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging and highly skilled radiologists who collaborate with specialists across multiple disciplines. This coordination ensures that each procedure—whether diagnostic or therapeutic—is tailored to the individual patient’s condition and overall treatment plan.
