Digestive Health

Meritus Health's team of digestive health specialists partners with you to diagnose and treat issues involving your gastrointestinal (GI) tract, which includes the esophagus, stomach and intestines. We specialize in treating patients with celiac disease, acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), ulcers, as well as performing colonoscopies, endoscopies and hemorrhoid banding. If you suffer from chronic stomach aches, painful abdominal bloating, heartburn or diarrhea, our team of experts is here to provide you with the necessary care.

Colon cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths in the United States. However, it is also one of the most preventable forms of cancer. Regular screenings can help detect and remove pre-cancerous polyps before they develop into cancer. The American Cancer Society recommends that adults begin colon cancer screenings at the age of 45 and continue to undergo screenings every 10 years. To learn more about screening options, speak with your primary care provider.
