Meritus welcomes gastroenterologist

Dr. Christine Lewis is now seeing patients at Meritus Digestive Health Services.

Meritus Health is pleased to welcome Gastroenterologist Christine P. Lewis, M.D., to Meritus Digestive Health Services.

Dr. Lewis recently joined the practice in suite 246 of the Robinwood Professional Center, 11110 Medical Campus Road in Hagerstown. She will also be seeing patients Wednesdays in Frederick at 310 W. Ninth St., Unit 10.

As a gastroenterologist, Dr. Lewis treats digestive issues involving the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines as well as diseases of the gallbladder, pancreas, liver and bile duct.

Dr. Lewis graduated from Wellesley College and then earned her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. She completed her residency in internal medicine at George Washington University School of Medicine, also in Washington, followed by a fellowship in gastroenterology at New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y.

She is certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
