Monthly Micro Course: The Biological Nature of Trauma and Addiction

Objectives:

• Discuss the relationship between trauma and substance abuse
• Understand the physiological underpinnings and causes of addiction and substance abuse as it relates to trauma informed care
• Provide strategies for both trauma and addiction for children ages 5-18.

Description:

At the conclusion of this course, attendees will better understand the relationship between trauma and addiction from a brain-based perspective. This course will focus on addiction treatment from a trauma informed care perspective.
