Care to Share food donation program details:

The concept is simple, take what you need and give if you can. The food donation boxes are located outside the Main Lobby of Meritus Medical Center and the Purple Entrance to Robinwood Professional Center.

Ensuring that our community is nurtured from the inside out is important to us. We welcome anyone to take any of the items in the donation boxes that they need for themselves or their families.

Thinking of donating items? That’s great too! Here are some suggestions:

• Canned veggies
• Canned fruit (no syrup)
• Fruit cups (in 100% juice)
• Unsweetened applesauce or fruit puree pouches
• Oats
• Nuts, seeds
• Peanut butter
• Beans (canned or dry)
• Multi-grain crackers
• Rice cakes
• Brown rice
• Tuna and salmon (packages or cans)
• Canned chicken
• Soup (low sodium preferred)
• Canned broth (chicken, beef or vegetable)
• Protein or veggie-based pasta
• Whole wheat pasta
• Tomato-based pasta sauce
• Olive oil
• Tea or coffee
• Protein bars
• Protein shakes
• Low sugar, high fiber cereals
• Shelf-stable milk
