DRIVE-Thru Screening center will be closed on Nov. 26 for Thanksgiving.

Current hOURS of Drive-thru screening center - monday-friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m. - noon.

NEW - Nov. 24 - Due to the increasingly high volume of traffic that the Meritus drive-thru COVID-19 screening center has seen day after day in recent weeks, patients can now expect their test results to take up to five days to become available. Thank you for your patience during this extremely busy time for our drive-thru and lab staff.

Drive-Thru Screening Center, SIC Clinic Hours

As of Oct. 19: Our drive-thru screening center for COVID-19 testing is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. - NOON. The drive-thru screening center is located behind Meritus Medical Plaza at 13620 Crayton Blvd. COVID-19 screening is available there at no cost to the patient, for all ages, with no appointment or referral needed. You do not have to show symptoms of COVID-19 in order to be tested.

As of June 8: Our non-emergency SIC Clinic - North, also located at Meritus Medical Plaza (inside) is open Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday, 8 a.m.- NOON



COVID-19 Antibody Testing Open to the Public

Antibody testing is available at all Meritus Medical Laboratory locations. A physicians order is required and all testing will be billed to the patient or their insurance.

This test may offer peace of mind for anyone that may have had an asymptomatic case. Please note that positive antibody test results do not make you immune and it is vital to continue to be vigilant in wearing a mask, social distancing and washing your hands.

The antibody test is available at all Meritus Medical Laboratory patient service centers. Location and hours of operation are available here.

All antibody test results will be available to the patient via MyChart account. There will be no phone calls made for positive or negative results.

The antibody test will help determine if you most likely had the virus in the past and is not a replacement for the COVID-19 test.


REMINDER - Meritus Medical Group Practices, Other Outpatient Services, Safe and Fully Open for In-Person Visits

In-patient appointments are available for patients of Meritus Medical Group practices and other outpatient services of Meritus Health. To visit with your provider, please call the practice first and directly speak to a staff member to make an appointment. Telehealth and e-visits will continue to be available as options. These "virtual visits" have become a natural addition to the continuum of care since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic when patients had to remain in their homes.

Please be aware of new guidelines when coming to a health care practice for an in-person visit:

  • Masks must be worn by all patients upon entering the practice. If the patient does not have a mask, a face covering will be offered to him/her upon arrival.
  • All patients will have their temperature checked upon entering the practice.
  • Patients may bring one person with them to the appointment. No one attending the appointment with a patient should be younger than age 18.
  • Please practice good hand hygiene before, during and after the appointment.
  • Please try and maintain the appropriate social distance to other in the practice - a minimum of six feet from other people. Appointments are being staggered in order to limit the number of people in the waiting rooms at one time.


MyChart E-visits

Meritus Medical Group offers electronic visits (e-visits) for current patients through MyChart. An e-visit can replace a clinic appointment or certain urgent care visits. E-visits should only be used for non-urgent medical conditions. Request your e-visit by visiting and logging in to your account.

Telehealth Visits - Now Available

This service allows patients who are not connected to a physician to have an electronic telehealth appointment with a primary care provider to discuss COVID-19 or other general health concerns. To request a telehealth visit, please complete the form located here.

HIM/Medical Records is unable to take walk-in requests for medical records at this time.
If you have an urgent need, please call 301-790-8137 during office hours, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Meritus Health Visitor Restrictions

NEW - With an increase in the county’s positivity rate for COVID-19 cases and in order to remain vigilant to keep patients and staff safe, beginning Thursday, Nov. 12, no visitors will be permitted in Meritus Health facilities with only a few specific exceptions.

Maryland Department of Health Update on Support Persons for Individuals with DisabilitiesAVISO – PERSONAS DE APOYO PARA INDIVIDUOS CON DISCAPACIDADES

Highlights of the updated policy include:

Meritus Health will continue to follow the Access to Support for Patient with Disabilities in Health Care Settings notice issued by the Maryland Department of Health and the Maryland Department of Disabilities.

Exceptions to the no visitors’ regulation include:

One support person is designated and is permitted at all times:

  • For any patient with a disability who requires bedside care from a caregiver due to the specifics of the disability.*
  • For labor, delivery and the duration of the obstetric patient’s hospital stay.*
  • For pediatric patients. Two designated support people may be chosen to rotate during patient’s hospital stay, but only one visitor at a time at the bedside.*

*In each of these situations, additional safety precautions will apply to the support person if the patient he/she is caring for is diagnosed or has symptoms related to COVID-19.

One visitor is permitted if a support person is not designated:

  • To accompany the patient in the emergency department waiting room unless social distancing maximum capacity is met.
  • To accompany the patient in the patient’s emergency department room for the duration of the patient’s stay in the ED.
  • For a patient undergoing emergency surgery related to a traumatic event.
  • For a patient whose care team requests the visitor to be a part of scheduled training for the patient’s rehabilitation or to help with cognitive needs.
  • For a patient who is required to receive in-person, bedside, discharge education.
  • To escort an adult patient to registration. The visitor must leave the building after providing his/her phone number to staff.
  • To accompany a pediatric patient during his/her visit;

Two visitors at a time are permitted for end-of-life care for a patient.

All support people and visitors to Meritus Health facilities may be screened for flu-like symptoms and will not be able to stay if symptomatic. Face masks are required to enter all Meritus Health facilities and must be worn at all times. Support persons must arrive prior to 9 p.m. if staying overnight. Additionally, the pet therapy program remains suspended at Meritus Medical Center, but service animals continue to be allowed entrance.
