About Matthew

Dr. Wagner received his medical degree and postgraduate training in psychiatry at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. After 2 years on the faculty in the Department of Psychiatry, he entered private practice for 5 years before joining the Meritus Medical system. He has 30 years of experience in outpatient and inpatient psychiatry. He has served as division chief for psychiatry at Meritus and for the last 2 years has also served as Behavioral Health Service Line leader. He is board certified in psychiatry and in 1995 achieved a certificate of added qualification in geriatric psychiatry.
