Dr. Miller joined the Meritus Family Medicine Residency in June 2020. He received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, an osteopathic internship at Jefferson Northeast in Langhorne, PA followed by a residency in family medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. After spending five years in a rural practice Dr. Miller then joined the UPMC Williamsport Family Medicine Residency in Williamsport PA where he served as Program Director for eight of his thirteen year tenure. He has served on several national committees of the ACOFP, AOA, AODME and ACGME. He is a graduate of the National Institute of Program Director Development and is a clinical associate professor at several medical schools. In addition to family medicine, Dr. Miller has developed a clinical expertise and research interest in addiction medicine with attention to opioid addiction. He has served nationally as a mentor, consultant and instructor for providers and communities interested in developing strategies to treat patients with opioid use disorders. Dr. Miller is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine
