Meritus Health Expands Hospital Visiting Hours “Window”

Press Releases

Beginning Friday, June 4, visitors may now come to Meritus Medical Center between the hours of 8 a.m.-8 p.m. One visitor at a time continues to be the policy for most adult inpatients.

Exceptions can be made for patients with a disability who require bedside care from a caregiver due to the specifics of their disability; patients undergoing emergency surgery related to a traumatic event; and pediatric patients. In these situations, visitors should communicate prior to coming to the hospital with the patient’s health care team to make arrangements.

Patients who are under investigation for or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 continue to not be permitted visitors from outside of the hospital.

Visitors must be at least 18 years old unless he/she is the parent of a pediatric patient.

Masking within Meritus Health buildings is still required as part of Maryland’s current policy for health care settings.
