CAREERS

Thank you for your interest in a clinical rotation here at Meritus. We are excited to have options for every level of learner, from third- and fourth-year medical students seeking a sub-internship or elective rotation to college and high school students seeking an observership. Meritus is also happy to offer rotations for Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, and Midwifery students. Our healthcare system offers clinical rotations on a variety of services including family medicine, internal medicine, psychiatry, surgery, just to name a few. Learners can choose between a 2-week or 4-week rotation based on their needs where they will work alongside our experienced physicians or advanced practice providers. To allow time for scheduling, onboarding, and credentialing where necessary, we recommend completing the application at least 60 days, and preferably 90 days, prior to your requested start. Auditioning students may be required to apply earlier. While our team will do our best, completing an application does not guarantee a rotation will be offered.
Please note that at this time, we are unable to accept/sponsor J-1, H1B or other visas for international students.

MS4 – Sub-I/Audition Rotation:
Sub-internship (sub-I) or audition rotations are offered to fourth year medical students interested in joining one of our residency programs – Family Medicine, Psychiatry or General Surgery. This type of rotation is designed to challenge the learner with an increased level of independence in patient evaluation, documentation and management. You will be expected, with supervision, to function at the level of an intern to increase comfort, confidence, and practice in the specific field of medicine. These rotations are typically offered from August to December or January based on the program’s availability. Applications for auditions are accepted from April to June, and students can expect to hear back about their application within 2 weeks of submission.
To be considered for an audition rotation, medical students must meet the following criteria:
