How to Apply
Positions are filled through the National Residency Match Program and interviews are required.
We screen candidate applications before inviting individuals to schedule interviews, and we participate in the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS). After screening, we will offer interviews to candidates whose abilities, personal interests and needs best match Meritus' philosophy and curriculum.
Interviews typically begin in October, and are conducted through the end of January each year.
Complete applications submitted through ERAS will consist of all of the following:
- A transcript of medical school course work
- Completed application forms including a personal statement

Three letters of recommendation from clinical faculty, one preferably from
a family medicine physician
Additional criteria:
- Medical school graduation within three years of anticipated start of residency
- Applicants who require more than two attempts to pass USMLE I & II (CK & CS) or COMLEX I & II (CE & PE) will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- For international graduates, J-1, H1B or other Visas are not accepted/sponsored.
Each year the core program has 6 spots.
