To provide high-quality, compassionate and individualized nursing care to all of our patients and their families. We are committed to leading the way to promote health, provide hope and preserve dignity for each patient.

Our care will focus on our patients as individuals. We will provide every patient an experience customized to his/her medical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. Congruent with the health system’s vision, Meritus Health’s nursing division will be nationally recognized in creating a thriving culture that exemplifies caring and knowledge in the practice of nursing.

Service: Consistently strive to meet and exceed customer expectations through active listening, compassion, and empathy.

Excellence: Continually identify opportunities for innovation to improve the quality, safety, efficiency and effectiveness of nursing care through the use of the quality improvement (Plan-Do-Study-Act) and Lean processes.

Integrity: Be accountable for our own behavior, decisions and outcomes. Nursing practice is based on the ANA Code of Ethics.

Respect: Treat all customers with courtesy and fairness; embrace diversity.

Caring: Be present and create a healing environment for patients and families.

Our Amazing Nurses are on a path of success—and it’s a culture that’s worth a closer look:

Autonomy and accountability. Five nursing councils allow nurses at all levels to be change agents, researchers, innovators, quality leaders and educators. As a frontline nurse, you have a voice in nursing practice through shared governance, team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.

Leadership by example. Nurse executives, directors and nurse managers stay visible by rounding on patients and leading town hall meetings. As our chief nursing officer says, “The only way to know what’s going on is to see and hear it firsthand.”

Professional growth. At Meritus Health, we’ll help you be your best or move outside your comfort zone. Whether it’s career ladders, a RN-to-BSN program, nurse leader internships, nursing certification, precepting or mentoring, we’ll give you the chance to evolve.

A family vibe. Our nursing team is a unique mix of career nurses and recent nurse graduates. Together, they form a supportive, tight-knit environment that makes you feel like you belong. And because we’re a community hospital, you’ll get the personal satisfaction of caring for families, friends and community members.

If you like what you see, join our team of Amazing Nurses who are healers, motivators, collaborators, innovators, teachers and partners in patient care.

As part of a growing community, we are always looking for new nurses.

Nursing Residency Program

The goal of the Nurse Residency Program (NRP) is to guide new graduate nurses through a collaborative and efficient introduction to Meritus Medical Center (MMC), while providing   foundational tools, resources, increasing competence and confidence and providing support to help guide their transition to professional practice.  Residents will progress through essential curriculum as directed by Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program™.
