Meritus Health's Stroke Support Group provides a safe and caring environment where group members have the opportunity to share hardships and concerns and celebrate successes and strengths.

Group Guidelines:

• Respect that every stroke is unique and each person responds differently to their experience
• A successful meeting is a group effort
• Information shared must be kept confidential
• All in attendance are encouraged to share when they are ready and to actively listen to others
• Listening is helping and should always be: Empathetic, Non-judgmental, Understanding, Feelings focused
• This support group does not take the place of medical care- we do not give medical advice to each other
