Hospital Rehabilitation
To help get patients moving and adjusting to their new joint, the Center for Joint Replacement assigns a physical and occupational therapist to work with patients daily. Physical therapists work with patients on range of motion exercises and techniques to safely transfer from a bed, chair, or car. In our hospital, patients work with occupational therapists to learn techniques and use tools that will help them function independently and safely when caring for themselves at home.
Outpatient Rehabilitation
Meritus Health's Total Rehab Care is the region's only rehabilitation provider accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Our compassionate rehabilitation staff helps you regain your strength and achieve your highest potential through joint strengthening modalities and balance exercises supervised by physical therapy professionals. Joint replacement patients can also participate in specifically designed aquatic classes held in a warm water pool.
Our patients travel from around the region, including West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Virginia to experience expert care and the excellent patient outcomes that only the Center for Joint Replacement brings.
