Impact of Obesity

Co-morbid conditions are the presence of one or more additional medical conditions in addition to a primary condition such as obesity. Those with severe obesity are more likely to have other diseases such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, heart disease, GERD and joint issues. Surgical treatment of obesity is safe, effective, and has been shown to improve or cure obesity related conditions.
