HAGERSTOWN, Md. – In accordance with updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention expanding COVID-19 booster eligibility to children ages 5-11, Meritus Health will offer pediatric vaccine clinics for eligible patients.
The pediatric booster clinics for this age group will be held at the Meritus Health vaccine clinic located in the Robinwood Professional Center Atrium on the following dates:
Saturday, June 4, from 8 a.m. – Noon
- Appointments available from 8 a.m. – Noon
- Walk-ins available from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Saturday, June 11, from 8 a.m. – Noon
- Appointments available from 8 a.m. – Noon
- Walk-ins available from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
As a reminder, to receive a COVID-19 booster an eligible child must have received a first dose at least five months prior. First doses will also be available.
A parent or legal guardian does not need to be the adult that accompanies the child to the vaccination. However, a parent or legal guardian will need to have filled out the consent form prior, and will need to be available for a brief telephone call, during which staff will verify the child’s information and permission for vaccination.
Patents can schedule an appointment by emailing covid.vaccine@meritushealth.com with the following information:
- Name, date of birth and address of child
- Name, date of birth and address of parent or legal guardian
- Contact phone number for parent or legal guardian
- Requested date and time of appointment
