Meritus Health Eases Visitor Restrictions as COVID-19 Situation Improves Locally

Press Releases

With positivity rates of COVID-19 down to 9.8% for Washington County, fewer patients requiring hospital-level care and a major reduction in demand for testing, Meritus Health officials are easing some visitor restrictions.

Effective Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 8 a.m., Meritus Health will begin operating on Yellow visitation status.

Yellow Visitation Status Bar

Yellow visitation status allows most patients up to two visitors, ages 12 and older, at the bedside. All visitors will continue to be screened for COVID-19 and/or flu-like symptoms, such as fever, cough or shortness of breath and will not be able to stay if symptomatic.

Meritus Health’s outpatient services and practices, surgery centers and the John R. Marsh Cancer Center will also move to Yellow visitation status.

Face masks are still required to enter any Meritus Health facility and must be worn at all times.

Full details on Yellow visitation status are available on this website in the Patients/Visitors section under Visitor Information.
