After-Hours Pediatrics Joins the Meritus Health Family

HAGERSTOWN – Beginning July 1, 2021, After-Hours Pediatrics joins the Meritus Health family as a practice partner.

“This partnership will allow for more cohesiveness in health care for our community’s youngest residents,” says Anand Budi, M.D., medical director of After-Hours Pediatrics and associate chief medical officer for Meritus Health. “Patients who come to the practice can be assured that the physicians, nurses and other staff members will continue to offer safe, quality, urgent and emergent health care services, as we have since our opening a few years ago.”

“The providers at After Hours Pediatrics have a deep commitment of caring for our community and we are excited to have this valuable team join the Meritus Health family. This partnership will allow for integrated clinical services and provide a continuous care experience”, says Dave Lehr, Chief Strategy Officer for Meritus Health.

Patients should be aware of administrative changes that will take place after July 1, including an invitation to MyChart, the patient portal utilized by Meritus Health. Bills and other correspondence will also begin coming from Meritus Health.

Doctors Kristina A. Athey, Anand Budi and Leon D. Weaver Jr. will make up the initial team at Meritus Health After-Hours Pediatrics. Services will continue to be offered at the current practice location, 186 Eastern Blvd.
