Compassion Fatigue Rooms

Foundation

Through the generosity of our donors, the Meritus Healthcare Foundation was able to provide a grant to support a cause close to your heart – health care provider compassion fatigue. As a result of the funding, a project began to create compassion fatigue relief rooms. There are six rooms planned throughout the hospital and each room is part of the Compassion Fatigue Prevention Program (CFPP) designed to create calming conditions for front-line staff to step away, refresh their minds, build resilience and reconnect to the joy in their work during difficult and challenging times.

Pictured in the first room to be completed, Lavender Fields, are a few of many our dedicated and hardworking emergency department staff. With them, we wish to thank you again for your help in providing a sacred and soothing space for our health care heroes!
