Asymptomatic Patients Now Welcome for Testing
Meritus Health is again expanding COVID-19 testing to reach more people in the region. Effective today, Monday, May 11, those who do not currently have symptoms of the coronavirus, but suspect or are concerned that they have been exposed, may visit one of two Meritus Health screening centers and be tested for COVID-19.
No appointments or referrals are required for COVID-19 tests at the following locations:
- Meritus Health drive-thru screening center – 13620 Crayton Blvd., behind the Meritus Medical Plaza. Hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
- Meritus Health walk-thru screening center – 24 N. Walnut St. Patients may park across the street from the center in the designated lot and walk over for the test. Hours are Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Meritus Medical Laboratory now conducts COVID-19 tests for patients, so most results are available within 24 hours.
This new addition for asymptomatic people follows the direction of Maryland Governor Larry Hogan to increase testing in the state.
