New Training Tool for Pediatrics
It is Saturday afternoon, your baby hasn’t quite been herself, she has a fever, isn’t drinking or eating enough, and has a cough. You come into Meritus Medical Center emergency room where your daughter is admitted for dehydration. We know you want your daughter’s nurse to have the best training tools available to be able to insert your baby’s IV on the first try. With the help of our donors, our staff has been provided a state of the art training tool, a life like doll, for staff to practice insertion, assessment, dressing care, securement and maintenance of vascular access devices (VAD’s) in infants. This tool is used for new graduate nurses, standard annual training, and specialized training with new equipment.
