Women to Know in Health Care - New Leadership Additions, Providers Added
Carrie Adams, Pharm.D., was recently named the vice president and chief transformation officer or CTO of Meritus Health. Adams oversees operations improvement, clinical informatics and the new electronic health record or EHR conversion. Previously, she was the corporate director of pharmacy services at Trivergent Health Alliance MSO, in which Meritus is an affiliated organization. Adams completed her bachelor’s in pharmaceutical sciences at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio, and her doctorate at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Va.
Merih O’Donoghue, M.D., recently joined Meritus Family Medicine, North Hagerstown, a primary care practice of Meritus Medical Group. Dr. O’Donoghue earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pa., and completed her residency at Overlook Hospital in Summit, N.J. She is board certified with the American Board of Family Medicine.
Allison M. Freeman, PA-C, RT(R), is a new member of the team at Meritus Pediatric & Adult Medicine, North Hagerstown, a primary care practice of Meritus Medical Group. Freeman earned a Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies from Howard University in the District of Columbia. She is board certified with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Gail Callaway, M.D., FAAP, a 16-year internist and pediatrician with Meritus Pediatric & Adult Medicine, Smithsburg, a primary care practice of Meritus Medical Group, has taken on the newly created position of medical director, clinical informatics for Meritus Health. Dr. Callaway is directly involved with the implementation of the new electronic health record or EHR as physician lead.
