Meritus Medical Center Recognized by U.S. News & World Report
HAGERSTOWN – U.S. News & World Report has awarded Meritus Medical Center 2017-2018 High-Performing Hospital recognition in two categories.
The hospital was recognized specifically for inpatient care of two chronic conditions – heart failure and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or COPD. Approximately 10 percent of hospitals evaluated nationwide reached the high-performing tier for procedures and conditions.
Rankings were based on data from Medicare hospital patients, ages 65 and older, who received treatment between 2011 and 2015.
