Meritus Medical Center's critical care unit nurses were recently recognized by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses or AACN with a bronze level Beacon award for excellence.
The award recognizes health care professionals who employ consistent and systematic evidence-based care to improve patient outcomes. Units that earn the Beacon award also meet national criteria consistent with Magnet Recognition, the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award and the National Quality Healthcare Award.
"I could not be happier with our Beacon recognition. Our critical care nurses are top notch!" says Jesus Cepero, Ph.D., RN, vice president and chief nursing officer.
