Congratulations to Meritus Medical Center for being selected as the winner of the American Trauma Society, Maryland Division's Distinguished Service Award for 2013, in recognition of the trauma center's efforts to support distracted driving awareness and reduction, as well as occupant safety, for greater Hagerstown's youth. Through the leadership of Susie Burleson, manager of Trauma Services at the hospital, Meritus Medical Center has been visible statewide in efforts to participate in quality injury prevention campaigns.
