Dr. Neil Roy has been selected as the new vice chair of emergency medicine at Meritus Medical Center. Dr. Roy graduated from the Christiana Care Health System emergency medicine residency program in 2012. Prior to that, Dr. Roy completed medical school at Howard University, College of Medicine. Already, Dr. Roy has collaboratively worked with others in the organization to use data to achieve results in core clinical initiatives.
Sandra Baker has joined Meritus Health as director of nutrition services. Baker is a certified dietary manager who received her bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and a master's degree from Northeastern University. Before joining Meritus Health, Baker was the general manager of nutrition services at St. Joseph Hospital in Eureka, Calif.
Wendy Haislip recently started as the new clinical manager for the renal, oncology and palliative care areas at Meritus Health. Haislip plays a significant role in administrative and financial planning, directing, staffing and coordinating activities. Haislip obtained her bachelor's in nursing from the University of Phoenix and then worked for the Washington County Health Department as a registered nurse, coordinating the care of roughly 1,100 students within the Washington County public school system. From 2005 to 2012, as a registered nurse at Meritus Medical Center, she mentored newly hired employees and student nurses.
