Volunteers Honored

Volunteers of the Meritus Medical Center Auxiliary Inc. recently gathered to celebrate National Healthcare Volunteer Week and the 2013 theme, Honoring the Spirit of Service. The volunteers were treated to what has become a traditional afternoon tea with guest speakers.

Meritus Health President and CEO, Joseph P. Ross, honored the volunteers by pointing out the very important connection that they make between the hospital and the community. Local radio and TV personality, Lou Scally, spoke of his long connection to the Auxiliary, praising the volunteers for their spirit of service during the last sixty-one years. Scally is the first person to receive an Honorary Community Membership in the Auxiliary.
