Holly Poling, RN, was named Meritus Health's April DAISY Nurse. Another staff member wrote that "A patient with a terminal condition who was recently on vacation in Florida was flown back to Hagerstown and admitted to Meritus Medical Center, where Holly Poling proceeded to make the best of a bad situation. Holly went the extra mile and decorated the patient's room with palm trees and other tropical-themed decorations in an attempt to recreate and recapture the vacation spirit. Holly brought both expertise and empathy to her role." Other nurses nominated for the April award included Jennifer Foster, RuthAnn Hitchcock, Staci Moser, Dottie Olson and Desirae Ulsh.
