Meritus Health's media relations staff manages the interaction with online, print and broadcast media. Its primary role is to promote Meritus Health's mission, vision and values and to assist journalists who seek information about the health system and its employees.

  • Members of the press may collect exterior shots of the Meritus Medical Center/Robinwood Professional Center campus for use in b-roll and publications, but should not photograph, film or interview patients, visitors, staff or volunteers on this campus without direct contact via the inbox and written approval from the corporate communications staff of Meritus Health. As a hospital and medical campus providing patient care in this emergent environment of COVID-19, traffic here should primarily be patients and health care staff.
  • Members of the press should check back on the dedicated Media Center section of for ongoing advisories, as well as on Meritus Health’s social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Linked In.

With the current restrictions provided by the Maryland Governor’s office to hospital campuses and medical facilities, all members of the press should note the following for how Meritus Health is handling requests for interviews and offering information related to COVID-19 and how it impacts the hospital:

  • Please access the COVID-19 Update on the main page of for up-to-date information on our response to the pandemic, visitor restrictions, our COVID-19 email and care line for the public to use and direct links to the CDC’s resources.
  • Our leaders and medical staff are deeply involved in infection control plans alongside continued care of patients. Meritus Health will only be able to offer individual interviews by staff to the media on a case-by-case basis, primarily by phone.
