Living Well w/Cancer: Thriving and Surviving - Wellness

Living Well - with Cancer: Thriving and Surviving........ is a evidence based Workshop offered in a supportive environment and is designed for persons and caregivers who are living with and/or have been affected by Cancer who are post-treatment. Participants have found that it has helped them to build their self-confidence in their ability to self-manage their health and maintain and regain an active life.

The Free evidence-based 6 week class is offered in collaboration with John Marsh Cancer Center, Meritus' Center for Breast Health and Meritus' Community Health. It is held once a week for 2 1/2 hours and is led by two trained leaders.

Topics include:

  • Fatigue Management
  • Regaining Fitness During and After Cancer Treatment
  • Managing Pain
  • Living with Uncertainty
  • Making Decisions
  • Cancer and Changes to your body
  • Healthy Eating
  • Making decisions about treatment and Complementary Therapies
