About Anand Budi, M.D.
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Anand Budi, chief medical officer, was born and raised in India. He graduated from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, one of the premier medical schools in Southeast Asia. He went on to complete his pediatric residency in AIIMS, after which he went to Sydney, Australia to pursue a fellowship in neonatology.
In 1995, Dr. Budi did a pediatric residency at the University of Connecticut. Following residency, he went to St. Petersburg, Florida, where he served as chief resident at All Children’s Hospital. Since 1998, Dr. Budi has been practicing in Hagerstown, and joined Weiss & Becker, PA in 2003.
Dr. Budi has held various leadership roles at Meritus Health since 2008. He was instrumental in bringing the Special Care Nursery, After Hours Pediatrics (urgent care) and Pediatric Hospitalists to Washington County, with the goal of improving pediatric care and care coordination.
He currently lives in Smithsburg, with his wife Dr. Lakshmi Budi, and their two children, Snigdha and Siddharth.
