Chuckia “Kia” Tisdale, MD, joined the medical staff of Meritus Medical Center in 2006. After practicing with Women’s Specialty Associates for several years, Dr. Tisdale brought her interest and expertise in women’s health issues to WillowWood Adult Medicine.

Dr. Tisdale graduated with a medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, and completed her residency at Virginia Commonwealth Medical Center. Dr. Tisdale also received a bachelor’s degree with honors in biology from the same university. During her residency, she became a member of the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Tisdale is originally from Hampton, Virginia, and enjoys attending outdoor concerts, reading, and spending time with her husband, Randy, son Harrison, and daughter Lauren.
