He graduated from Ghandi Medical College in India and completed his residency in internal medicine at Columbia University in New York. He later completed a fellowship in infectious diseases at East Carolina University before joining Summit Health and moving to Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, five years ago. A member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America and the Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America, he is board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases. Dr. Ali will spend his days seeing patients at WillowWood as well as visiting patients in the hospital. “Because Meritus Medical Center serves a diverse patient population with different medical and surgical complexities, including trauma, I will treat patients with more challenging infections,” he says. Dr. Ali enjoys the specialty of infectious disease because every day is different. “Every day I see a different infection on a different part of the body by a different bacteria. The satisfaction comes in curing the infection, mostly in a short period of time,” he says.
