High school students, ages14 through 18, are eligible for membership as Volunteens.

This is a great opportunity for young people to not only contribute to their community, but also discover if a career in healthcare is in their future. Teens that are accepted into the program may use their volunteer hours towards their student-service learning requirements.

14 and 15 year-old students are required to volunteer in either the Meritus Medical Center gift shop or coffee shop. 16 year-old students may volunteer in nursing unit support, and 17 to 18 year-old students may volunteer in the emergency department.
