Meritus Health would like you to be aware of the numerous health and wellness-related events, classes, seminars and support groups that are coming up this Fall and Winter in the area. Please note that many of these activities will take place at either Meritus Medical Center or Robinwood Medical Center – unless otherwise noted. Reserve your space and get location information by calling the contact number listed with each specific event.

2012 Meritus Health Directory
On Sunday, December 11, the 2012 directory was distributed in Washington County, primarily through the Herald Mail. If you live outside Washington County, please stop by any Home Care Pharmacy location or Equipped for Life to pick up a free copy. In the coming weeks, Meritus Health will also have copies available at other locations and at Your Health Matters events. Please stay tuned for updates!

Meritus Diabetes Center’s Diabetes Self-Management

Education program is accredited by the American Diabetes Association for meeting/exceeding the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education.

 Living Well with Diabetes Disease

Self-Management Program (evidence-based). Begins Jan. 4, 2013 and runs for 7 weeks. 9:30 a.m.-noon, Meritus Endocrinology Center. Free with option to purchase materials for $35. Register at 301-790-8907.

Concerned Persons Group

If you are lost, confused or stressed because of a loved one’s addiction or substance abuse problem, this group can help you understand the disease of addiction, teach you what you can do to help yourself and your loved one and provide emotional support.

Second Wind Group

Support for people with chronic lung disease,
