Crushing chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, and heart palpitations are frightening symptoms when they are happening to you or someone you know. Heart disease is alarming, but common. In fact, one person in five suffers from some form of cardiovascular disease.

At Meritus Medical Center, we offer critical life-enhancing, life-saving services for coronary artery disease and heart rhythm disorders. Our cardiac services include the following:
  • Preliminary diagnostic services for heart concerns, including EKGs, holter monitor, echocardiographic imaging, stress testing, and radionuclide stress testing. Standard treadmill and dipyridamole exercise testing are also provided.
  • Cardiac catheterization lab for emergency balloon and stent angioplasty, and the diagnosis of heart trouble
  • Electrophysiology lab for diagnosing and treating abnormal electrical activity in the heart, known as arrhythmia
  • Cardiac rehabilitation program for patients recovering from a heart attack, coronary bypass surgery, or angioplasty

Investment in the most up-to-date technologies illustrates our commitment toward combating heart disease. Physicians use real-time X-ray imaging to guide them through diagnostic and interventional procedures. High-resolution digital monitoring equipment and flexible, leading-edge catheterization tools equip our recently renovated catheterization lab.

Our team of board-certified cardiologists and interventional cardiologists offers patients highly specialized experience in structural heart disease and electrical heart malfunctions. The supporting staff of cardiac nurses and technicians are trained and certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

For heart disease prevention, detection, intervention, and rehabilitation, look no further than Meritus Medical Center.
