Bobbi Hilker, Pharm.D., CACP

Bobbi Hilker, Pharm.D., CACP, BCPS

Dr. Bobbi Hilker is the Clinical Pharmacy Manager, PGY1 Residency Program Director and Anticoagulation Pharmacy Specialist for Meritus Medical Center. She also serves as the Site Coordinator for pharmacy students. She received her Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa. After moving back to Maryland, she went on to earn her doctorate of pharmacy from the University of Maryland. Dr. Hilker is a certified anticoagulation provider and has achieved board certification in pharmacotherapy. She is the preceptor for the administration rotation. Her areas of interest include Anticoagulation and enjoys teaching students and residents.

Michael R. Staley, Pharm.D.

Dr. Michael Staley is the Director of Pharmacy Services for Meritus Medical Center. He has served in a leadership and administrative role at Meritus for almost 4 years as both an Operations Manager and as and as Director. During that time Dr. Staley has also served in other ancillary leadership roles across Trivergent Health Alliance such as Interim Director of Pharmacy Services at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Prior to that he worked as a clinical and staff pharmacist at Meritus Medical Center and Western Maryland Hospital Center. In addition to hospital pharmacy Dr. Staley teaches pathophysiology and pharmacology for Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Towson University at USMH Hagerstown. Dr. Staley is committed to the expansion and development of pharmacy services to improve patient outcomes and access to care.

Katelyn Andrews, Pharm.D

Katelyn Andrews, Pharm.D

Dr. Katelyn Andrews is the emergency department clinical pharmacist for Meritus Medical Center. She is a graduate of the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy with a doctorate in pharmacy. Dr. Andrews completed her PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Meritus Medical Center. She also completed a Teaching Certificate Program at Shenandoah University and holds certificates in advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support. Her areas of interest include infectious diseases, critical care, and toxicology. Dr. Andrews is the preceptor for the emergency medicine rotation.

Jeanette Dean, BS, Pharm.D., MHMS

Dr. Jeanette Dean is the Medication Safety Officer for Meritus Medical Center. She is a graduate from the University of Pittsburgh with a doctorate in pharmacy. Jeanette is currently working on the certificate for Antibiotic Stewardship for Acute Care. She recently completed her Masters degree in Healthcare Management for Sustainability at Wilson College. During this program she earned a Lean Six-Sigma Black Belt certification. She also obtained a certificate in Medication Therapy Management (MTM). Prior to joining Meritus Medical Center, Dr. Dean served in leadership roles over the last nine years as an operations manager and Director of Pharmacy. Her areas of interest include medication safety, antibiotic stewardship, lean methodologies, and medication therapy management.

Caleb J Goodrich, PharmD

Caleb J Goodrich, PharmD

Dr. Goodrich completed the PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Meritus in June 2018 and now works as a clinical pharmacist. Dr. Goodrich has plans on becoming a Board-Certified Pharmacy Specialist in the next 5 years. He completed the pre-pharmacy coursework at Utah State University and went on to attend University of Maryland where he received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree in May 2017. Dr. Goodrich's professional interests include infectious disease, informatics, and critical care. In his spare time, he enjoys juggling, dad jokes, following SpaceX, and spending time with his family.

Regina Hebert, PharmD

Dr. Regina Hebert is a Clinical Pharmacist at Meritus Medical Center. She is a graduate of the St. John Fisher College Wegmans School of Pharmacy with a doctorate in pharmacy. Dr. Hebert completed her PGYI pharmacy practice residency at Highland Hospital in Rochester, New York. Her areas of interest include internal medicine, cardiology and infectious disease.

Deirdre Jones, Pharm.D., BCNSP

Dr. Deirdre Jones is a clinical staff pharmacist at Meritus Medical Center. She received her Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Va. She then completed a PGY1 residency at the John Dempsy Hospital in Farmington, Conn. Afterwards, she completed her doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Florida in Gainsville, Fla., and worked for Arnold Palmer Hospital for Women and Children in Orlando, Fla. Dr. Jones is a board-certified nutrition support pharmacist. Her areas of subspecialty include nutrition support and pediatrics. Dr. Jones is the preceptor for pediatrics and nutritional support rotations.

Amber Oakes, PharmD

Dr. Amber Oakes is a Clinical Pharmacist at Meritus Medical Center. She is in charge of the TheraDoc clinical monitoring and documentation program used by the pharmacy department, and is affiliated with the order set committee. She did her undergraduate studies at Gannon University (Erie, PA), and completed her PharmD program through Duquesne University Mylan School of Pharmacy (Pittsburgh, PA). Dr. Oakes then completed a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency as one of the first of two residents through the program affiliated with King's Daughters Medical Center (Ashland, KY) and Marshall University School of Pharmacy (Huntington, WV). She also completed a teaching certificate program through Marshall, where she taught several lectures at the School of Pharmacy. Prior to securing her position as a pharmacist, Dr. Oakes worked as a technician/intern at CVS Pharmacy for eight years. Her areas of interest include transitions of care, internal medicine, anticoagulation, and infectious disease.

Julie Jannuzi Saunders, RPh

Dr. Julie Jannuzi Saunders is the Ambulatory Care Pharmacist for Trivergent’s newest specialty practice. She is allied with the Meritus Care Management Team for Meritus Family Practices. The team is dedicated to improve patient outcomes by optimizing the post discharge patient experience. Our mission is to provide medication reconciliation across the continuum of care, medication therapy management, education, and coaching for our patients. Julie is experienced in Transitional Care Practice, Oncology, Anticoagulation Service, Pharmacokinetics, antibiotic stewardship, and nutrition service. She is a graduate of University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.

Julie Shupp, RPh, BCOP

Julie Shupp is the oncology pharmacist at Meritus Health's John R. Marsh Cancer Center. Julie received her Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. Prior to her current position, she worked at Meritus Medical Center in the inpatient pharmacy. She is currently pursuing her board certification in oncology. Mrs. Shupp is the preceptor for the chemotherapy rotation.

Jerry Van Pharm.D., MBA

Dr. Jerry Van is the ICU clinical pharmacist for Meritus Medical Center. He earned his doctorate in pharmacy and MBA from Shenandoah University and completed a PGY-q residency at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He currently holds a certificate in advance cardiac life support, and will obtain his certificate in pediatric advanced life support. His areas of interest include infectious diseases, critical care, and internal medicine. Dr. Van is the preceptor the critical care rotation.
